Matthew McConaughey's mother believes in quantity, not quality, of Christmas gifts. they individually wrap each and every thing. what if I did this in grandkids bags? individually wrapped each and every gift? would take them more time and maybe make it a bit more meaningful? and what if we followed Matthew's other rule and opened one present at a time with everyone watching?

ordered fancy white nightgowns for girls for xmas, a fancy sleeper for baby, and red long johns for Ian.

and of course the screaming monkeys and the barbie dolls and Ian's bookmarks....and a book for each kid [so far], cause I know I've been going overboard on the books.....and whatever else I come up with...

2022

ordered ethnic, different sized, etc Barbies for 4 big girls.

bookmarks for Ian.

kicking off X-mas 2022. just ordered 6 screaming flying slingshot monkeys for 6 grandkids.

KJ & Kate had a ball with these when they were young. bet the next generation will, too!

I love getting Christmas Day off every year because the place I now work is CLOSED! (and not being called out at all hours when the weather is bad!)

Kevin made chili and vegetable soup this year. and we bought a tray of meats and cheeses. I made cryptid gingerbread. Koren brought tons of Christmas goodies. Mom, Katie, Brayden, Koren, Cody, Ian, Coralie, Violet, & Millie were here. KJ, Ann, & Zerelda were here Christmas Eve (Red Baron Pizza.) the kids all seemed to love their gifts. this years theme gift was Fiesty Pets. maybe they'll all get a different one next year? there was time in the Grandkids room. a Christmas 30 Second Dance Party. an indoor snowball fight. I love how Koren's kids wear their jammies every year....I wore my jammies this year, too! Hopefully soon we can have all the grandkids here at the same time....hard to work out. and we found out that next year there will be a new grandbaby! simply had a wonderful Christmas time. the weather was delightful, so traveling was good. don't want my kids out on the roads in prairie blizzards.

it's almost Thanksgiving 2021.

damn. have bought tons of books and toys that I think match each of the kids interests...Koren helped me out with her kids. I know Zerelda loves goats and babies and cows. 100% online. think all but Coralies Gabby's Playhouse cat ears have arrived, and if they're late they can be a birthday gift.

working on Big Kids gifts. ordered Brayden some books. Katie of course is holding out for The Yellowstone Adventure 2023. need 1 more something to stick $$$$ in gift and 2 more $$$ to stick in gift. bought wrapping paper and bows and gift tags. ordered Xmas cards. only 1 gift for Kevin so far...but what do you give the man who has everything? besides a classic vehicle.

put Bigfoots Santa Hat and Scarf back on and he's driving the John Deere this year to deliver to all the good boys and girls. also The Charlie Brown Tree and The Porcelain Light Up Tree I Found At Lije's. and Rusty's stocking.

Might add a Ghost and an Alien in Santa Hats.

and going to attempt the Christmas Box Robot. have plenty of boxes. but are they the right size? and can I string lights all over him? we shall see.

Miss Clarice the Beautimous Black Christmas Tree will not be displayed this year. the furniture we inherited from Lije and placed in Dining Room took up her spot. she will eventually be on year round display in The Creepy Corner when Dave and Melissa move their stuff back home and I have more space to 'slide it on over.' my Victorian Cryptid Christmas Ornaments will then be back on her lovely branches where they belong.

Christmas 2021:

I think I want a pendulum board. and a wendigo or skinwalker. they're pricey on etsy, maybe I can figure out how to make one. and think maybe a Mothman Christmas card? no more cryptids for the grandkids. I. want. all. the. cryptids. for. myself. MENTION. KOREN. IN. XMAS. BLIP.
